Trendon Watford has established himself as unanimously a top 10 player in the 2019 class. The 6’8 small forward already has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Iowa, Ole Miss, TCU, Miss. St. & UCF. Watford’s off the charts versatility has already garnered the interest of the likes of Kentucky, UNC, Arizona and a host of other programs coast to coast.

In his sophomore season Trendon averaged 24 PPG, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and most importantly, brought home an Alabama state title.

In half-court sets Watford frequently stretches defenses with his ability to knock down the three and do serious damage with penetration off the dribble. Trendon possesses a smooth handle with a diverse crossover package, body control and vision to get the ball to open shooters. Watford can snag the rebound and take it coast to coast with ease, but is also comfortable on the block where he showcases craft, touch, and power. Being the physical force that he is, Trendon draws tons of fouls and is an excellent free throw shooter. Consider the paint safe as massive swats occur frequently. His productivity off the pick and roll options are absolutely special for a 2019.

Trendon Watford is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Christian, who after starring at Indiana is now with the Raptors franchise.

Q & A :

Q: How has your brother helped you grow as a player and what’s it like seeing all he has done?

A: “Tremendously, he’s told me it’s gonna be a hard and long process and enjoy the recruiting process. We work out a lot and it’s great seeing all he’s done on all 3 levels.”

Q: NBA players you like to model play-style after?

A: “Carmelo and Kevin Durant.”

Q: How did the sophomore season go and how have you grown as a player since the fall?

A: “The season went great me and my team went 31-5 and started off 18-0! We made a run through the playoffs after we lost the area championship and ended up winning state! I’ve grown in multiple ways by my game becoming way more mature and just me getting stronger and faster. “
