If there ever was a shortage of a post presence at Duke, the coming years are sure to change that, starting right away this year with potential top five pick Jahlil Okafor. After Okafor leaves for the NBA, the 6'10 Jeter will need to be ready to replace him right away in 2015-16. There is no doubt that he can do as such, touting an already strong post game and smooth jump hook that has those in Durham even more excited for the future. 

 

For most big men the skills on the offensive side of the ball comes later, but Jeter is ready at that end of the floor. One thing that he will need to work on however is his ability to stay set in the paint and use his strength to power through defenders. His skill set on the defensive end comes easily, using his long arms to swat shots away without the worry of drawing unnecessary foul calls.

 

When it comes to needing a crucial bucket, look no further than King James guard Luke Kennard, out of Franklin, Ohio. Kennard was the winner of the 2014 Mr. Ohio Basketball award, and can flat out score in bunches, averaging 41 points per game last year in high school. That scoring average included a 59-point outburst in a Feb. 12 win over Monroe, and a 38-point game against Justin Jackson and HCYA in Flyin' to the Hoop.

 

Some people believe that his scoring numbers are a bit inflated, but Kennard's offensive game is polished and smooth, with the uncanny ability to get hot in a moments notice. At 6'5, he can take it into the paint and finish a variety of different ways, and will throw it down if needed to. The one thing Kennard will need to work on is the defensive end, but by no means is this a weakness in his game.

 

The future for the Blue Devils is not just bright in 2014, but in 2015 as well as many more pieces in the puzzle will fall into place for Coach K and Duke.
